Facebook’s Custom Audience Features Can Bring You More Sales

Facebook’s Custom Audiences feature allows companies like yours to find their offline audiences on Facebook.

Simply load your email contact list into Facebook using Facebook’s ads create or Power Editor tool, and Facebook will use primarily email addresses and phone numbers to make a match. There is typically a 60% match, which means you get a solid list of people that are already a part of your database. This is a nice list of targets through which you can increase your visibility and sales
via Facebook.


This is an especially useful feature, as you can run targeted Facebook ads to these Custom Audiences.

As an example, you might run ads to get more likes to your page for those email subscribers who haven’t already liked your page. You could also run targeted ad campaigns to email lists subscribers that already like your page, and separate campaigns for those that don’t.

Response rates to Custom Audience ad campaigns on Facebook were phenomenal in beta testing done by several major companies. It’s a new feature now being rolled out to all advertisers.

You maintain total control and privacy surrounding your email list. Facebook cannot use it or mail to it. In fact, they encrypt each email on your list so it can’t be used, and then your list is deleted once the match process is complete.
