2. Keep It Simple – Don’t clutter your webpages with tons of sign-up boxes and calls to actions.  It can confuse the visitor and cause them to leave your site.  Instead, keep things really simple.  Have only one or two calls to action.

3. Have Clear Calls to Action – Don’t have overcomplicated calls to action.  Make them clear and straight-forward such as “download or print this coupon” or “sign up for our newsletter here.”

4. Test Your Page – People should be able to find what they need in a few seconds.  If they can’t, you probably have some design issues.  Consider using a testing service such as UserTesting.com.  Website testing services can help ensure that people can easily use your website.

5. High Bound Rate Not Always Bad – Sometimes a high bounce rate is not a bad thing.  For instance, you’ll want to have a high bounce rate on your contact page.  This means that people are using your contact information.
